Dialogue
between Media and Trade Personnel Government Urged to extend the Agricultural Sector in Joypurhat Joypurhat, February 03: Government patronization and initiative have been urged to extend the agricultural and industrial sector and to make it beneficial in the local level. Mass media and business leaders said it while speaking in a dialogue on local economic, trade and business development held at Municipality Conference Room in Joypurhat today. With the support of European Union, mass communication oriented development organization CCD and EJ Net-Joypurhat organized this dialogue. Senior Faculty Member of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank A B Siddique moderated the dialogue.
District Correspondent of the daily Sangbad Aminul Hoque Babul and District Correspondent of the daily Manabjamin Shahdul Islam Saju presented two reports respectively on “Problems and Potential of Business, Trade and Economic Development in Joypurhat” and “Potential and Problems of Small and Cottage Industries in Joypurhat” while Joint-Convenor of EJ Net-Joypurhat Abu Bakar Siddik was in the chair. Member Secretary of EJ Net Joypurhat Shahjahan Siraj Mithu and Project Coordinator of CCD A H M Abdul Hai presented welcome address. Among others, Correspondent of the daily Ajker Kagoj Nondo Kishore Agarwala, Deputy Manager of BISCIC Rezaul Karim, President of Bus Owners Association Mahbub Alam, President of Joypurhat City Press Club Mokhlesur Rahman, Correspondent of the daily Independent Nazrul Islam and President of Joypurhat Press Club Ratan Kumar Khan took part in the discussion.
