Dialogue
between Media and Trade Personnel Most Potential for Seed and Tea Production Thakurgaon,

With the support of European Union, mass communication oriented development organization CCD and Economic Journalists Network (EJ Net)-Thakurgoan jointly organized this dialogue. Fellow of EJ Net-Thakurgoan Abdul Latif, presented in-depth report on Problems and Potential of Economic and Trade Activities in Thakurgoan. Associate Prof of Thakurgoan Govt College Prof Anwarul Islam, President of Bangladesh Fertilizer Association (BFA) Modasser Hossain, District Fisheries Officer of Thakurgoan A B M Anwarul Islam, General Secretary of Rice Mills Owner Association Mhamud Hasan Raju, District Correspondent of The Daily Observer Sayad Merajul Hossain, District Correspondent of The Daily Samakal Abu Torab Manik, local coordinator of CCD A T M Samsuzzoha, District Correspondent of The Daily Naya Diganto Golam Sarwar Samrat took part in the dialogue as panel discussant. The dialogue presided over by President of Thakurgoan Press Club Enamul Hoque was moderated by Senior Faculty Member of RAKUB Training Institute A B Siddiquee. About one hundred journalists of local and national newspapers and news agencies and business leaders actively took part in the dialogue. Sugar recovery rate is increased to 9% Thakurgaon, February 10: If the production capacity in 15 sugar mills in the country is upgraded to 30 thousand tons and the recovery rate is increased to 9%, it will be possible to reduce the production cost and then the sugar mills can be profitable. Speakers opined it while addressing a dialogue on local economic and trade and business development held at Thakurgaon Press Club today. With the support of European Union, mass communication oriented development organization CCD and EJ Net-Thakurgaon organized this dialogue.
In the dialogue, speakers also called upon the Government and non-government banks and economic institutions to disburse easy-conditioned loan among the entrepreneurs in production and marketing of poultry, dairy, banana, potato, tomato, jackfruit, melon, maize, jute and jute-products in Thakurgaon. Senior Faculty Member of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank A B Siddique moderated the dialogue. Member Secretary of EJ Net Thakurgaon A T M Shamsujjoha Bablu and Project Coordinator of CCD A H M Abdul Hai presented welcome address in the dialogue. Among others, Cane Procurement Manager of Thakurgaon Sugar Mills M Abdul Quader, Senior Scientific Officer of Agriculture Research Institute M Obaidul Hoque, Former Principal of Thakurgaon Govt. College Prof M Ayiub Ali, President of Sugarcane Farmers Welfare Association M Eunus Ali, Publisher of the Weekly Janarab A N M Najmul Hasan, Editor Ashraful Alam, President of Thakurgaon Hotel Owners Association M Abul Kashem, Manager of Rajshahi Krishi Unayan Bank (RAKUB) S M Tojammel Hoque, General Secretary of Brick-field Owners Association Murad Hossain and Assistant General Secretary of Thakurgaon Public Library Masud Ahmmed Suborno took part in the discussion. A large number of journalists, business leaders and different professional of Thakurgaon actively took part in the dialogue.
