Journalists Training on Economic and Trade Reporting British Journalist Duffy in Trainings Huge
Potential of Bangladesh to Inform the World Rajshahi, 15 May: There is huge potential in agriculture, fish, sericulture and tourism of Bangladesh. Journalists and media people have to play active role to draw the attention of the world through disseminating trade and business related information.
Experienced of working in popular newspapers including the daily Guardian, the Times and the Financial Times Hazel Duffy also said, it is a matter of pleasure that a number of newspapers are published from almost every district in Bangladesh. Journalists of these newspapers can highlight the potential trade and economic sectors of these areas in their newspapers. They can discover and focus on different innovative business idea for local economic development. And the journalists working in the national and international news media can spread the news of these potentials worldwide. As a consequence, the national, international and multinational companies and entrepreneurs will come to know these potentials and come forward with more investment to different local level economic sectors in Bangladesh, she added. Renowned journalist of UK Hazel Duffy also said, journalists are the key force of information flow. If the journalists of local and national newspapers work together complimentarily, it is easily possible to accelerate and promote local trade and economic activities fast. In this regard, she stressed on enhancing working skills and efficiency of the local journalists, so that they can identify the right profitable economic issues and focus on the local economic development with specific trade and business sector.
