Dialogue between Media and Trade Personnel at Naogaon

Naogaon, 23 January:

If the processing of agro-based products including paddy, jute and wheat is developed in Naogaon, the local farmers and entrepreneurs can play vital role in promoting trade, business and economic activities here.

Mass media and business leaders said it while speaking in a dialogue on local economic and trade and business development held at Muktijyodha Sangsad in Naogaon today. With the support of European Union, mass communication oriented development organization CCD and EJ Net-Naogaon organized this dialogue.

District Correspondent of the daily Bhorer Kagoj Sultanul Alam Milon and District Correspondent of the daily Orthoniti Masudur Rahman Ratan presented two reports respectively on “Problems and Potential of Economic and Trade and Business Development in Naogaon” and “Alternative of Tobacco in Naogaon: Problems and Potential”.

Senior Faculty Member of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank A B Siddique moderated the dialogue and Assistant Professor of Mass Communication Department Moshihur Rahman was critic of the reports. Member Secretary of EJ Net Naogaon Sadequl Islam and Project Coordinator of CCD A H M Abdul Hai presented welcome address in the dialogue.

Among others, Deputy Manager of BISCIC Hazrat Ali, President of Naogaon City Press Club S M Sirajul Islam, Correspondent of the daily Prothom Alo Saidur Rahman, Correspondent of BTV Mamunur Rashid Babu, Vice-President of Naogaon Hotel Restaurant Owners Association Ziaur Rahman and Networking Officer of CCD Abu Hena Mostofa Kamal addressed the dialogue. A large number of journalists, business leaders and different professional of Naogaon actively took part in the dialogue.
